How to find 'Spirit of 1944

From RN13, which is the main road between Caen and Cherbourg, take the exit to La Cambe. La Cambe is on the D113 junction to the North. In La Cambe Village, take the first turn on your right at the church car park, towards La Vieille Place. Follow the road to the Statue of the Virgin Mary, where you turn right, to La Vieille Place. Follow the winding and narrow country lane for 500m; in front of you, you will see a manor house set back from the road. Turn left then right into the courtyard.
Spirit of 1944 is located in La Cambe, between two former temporary advanced airfields constructed by USAAF’s 9th Air Force during World War 2 in support of the invasion of Europe.
