We first spotted the 'for sale' board in the Spring of 2002 during a visit to the D-day landing beaches. Having made the life changing decision 'to buy' we set about a 4 year program of sympathetic restoration, conserving where possible period features and at the same time adding the creature comforts necessary for a 21st Century lifestyle.
Brian's skills as a master carpenter, together with Yula's flair to be able to mix family heirlooms with rustic French country furnishings from 'brocante' finds, complimented by subtle colours. All combine to provide a warm welcoming and relaxed atmosphere which is now homel and which we invite you to share with us during your visit.
